Filming a McNuggetini sequel with the lovely Alie and Georgia.
As of our yesterday, Peter has in his possesion one of the two videos of me doing something I would pay him not to show other people. The other video is in San Francisco and, NO, I will not tell you what I’m doing in either video.

Two cats occupy my apartment right now. One, a six month old Siamese mix whom I’ve temporarily named “Lola”…or “Dottie”…or “Lily”, is hiding in the pet traveling case she was carried into my apartment inside not twenty minutes ago, in my bathroom. She’s frightened but once you pull her onto your lap and start scruffing her belly and chin, it is evident she is a sweetheart. The other is a four year old traditional Siamese who answers to “Elvis”, “Koo Koo Roo”, “Little Boy” and “Cookie”, although the last one refers to the name I call his treats, not a nickname. He is sitting possessively on my lap and sniffing nervously at my fur covered t-shirt, while looking suspiciously in the direction of the bathroom. How will this turn out? Only time will tell.
Thanksgiving was a blast, spent at my cousin’s awesome house in Simi Valley. I threatened to go down the waterslide in my dress clothes (they have a waterslide in their freaking backyard) but that ended up just being a bluff. My brussel sprouts with prosciutto were a hit, with everyone claiming they were the best brussel sprouts they’d ever had. The food, conversation, and company were wonderful, as they always are at my family get-togethers. I have an awesome extended family. Later in the night, everyone stood around my collegiate cousin’s laptop and watched the McNuggetini video, including my 98 year old grandma who laughed through the whole thing.
This morning I spent an extra hour (or two) cuddling in bed with Elvis, and then gave him the leftover milk in my cereal bowl on the kitchen table, instead of on the floor like usual. This might be our last morning as a duo, you see, as I’m going to “meet” our potential new kitty this afternoon, and I want Elvis to have fond memories as it’s sure to be a rough couple days for him coming up. Now I’m going to listen to podcasts while I clean my apartment. I’d hate to bring New Kitty home to a messy apartment. What would she think of me???

My darling Elvis. My constant companion. Poor guy has no idea, no idea!, that his world is about to be rocked when I bring home a new kitty for him to (hopefully) love on Friday. Have I mentioned that I’m nervous about having two cats? Well I am. I am nervous about having two cats.

GPOYW - I still can’t believe that only one, ONE!, person called out the nod to Hitchhikers Guide that I hid in the background of the Ham Daiquiri video. I stole that order number from Public House when the waiter forgot to pick it up after delivering our chili cheese fries (the BEST chili cheese fries in town, btw). I know it’s juvenile to steal something from a restaurant, but I couldn’t believe my luck at getting the number 42. I had to have it, and in my slightly tipsy state, slipping it into my purse seemed like the right thing to do.

I was trying to think of the perfect description for how wonderful that very first sip of black coffee in the morning is, such as the one I just took not ten minutes ago, and then it came to me: it’s so wonderful, it gives me a “coochie twinge”. That is my new favorite saying. Learn it.

I’m meeting this little lady on Friday, and hopefully taking her home to live with me and Elvis. Isn’t she pretty? Her name is Digit, as she has extra toes on all her paws, but she looks like a Lily to me. Eep! I’m so excited!
